If that is the case then what filtering/disinfection is needed beyond the saline water?

Saying that NO pathogenic organism can survive sounds like an exaggeration to me. I think a more accurate statement is that most pathogenic organisms cannot survive. Right below that statement they mention that their tanks use bromine to maintain proper sanitation. If they really thought that no pathogen could survive, would they still feel the need to use bromine?
